What we are looking for
To celebrate the release of his latest album, “Don’t Take it Personal,” Dizzee Rascal will be performing a special album launch at the Victoria Hall, Stoke-on-Trent, UK on Saturday 17th February, and we are looking for 2 lucky local artists or DJs to support him, opening up the stage for the night.
UK music icon Dizzee Rascal returns with the electrifying new album “Don’t Take It Personal”, out February 9th 2024 via Big Dirtee Records Ltd. The announcement is paired with the release of new single “How Did I Get So Calm” - a glowing reminder of Dizzee's trademark sound and in-your-face energy.
Standing tall against his best work, Dizzee’s new record captures him in incendiary form as he flows effortlessly through a collection of distinctly UK genres with unrivalled ease. Centred by swaggering flows and formidable wordplay, Dizzee’s latest body of work is yet another victory lap on what is one of the defining rap music legacies.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 songs or 15 minutes of material ready to play live to backing tracks, or with a DJ. DJ entries must have a minimum of a 60 minute mix, packed from start to finish with music suitable for Dizzee Rascal’s audience. Performance fee to be discussed on an artist by artist basis.
